Key tasks for Area Domestic Violence Co-ordinator
- Strategic role linking into Policy Directorate, EDU, Local Criminal Justice Boards, CPS Area Management Team, multi-agency DV Fora, Pre-charge advice scheme, Court user groups and Victim Advocate groups.
- Develop Area DV section of Area Training plans with Area Learning & Development lead.
- Develop overall Area DV action plans as part of the wider CPS Business Plans with Area management.
- Advise colleagues and external agencies on CPS DV policy and protocols and monitor their implementation.
- Review DV casework, including DCNs, DCV letters, applications for special measures, discretionary meetings etc.
- Production of quarterly DV report for Area, including performance monitoring for DV Hate Crime and national PIs, with designated Area performance managers.
- Advise management on qualitative monitoring of DV prosecutions.
- Close links with Police DV Units to jointly monitor the delivery of locals DV strategy.
- Organise delivery of CPS and multi-agency domestic violence training.
- Liaison with DV specialists in other statutory agencies, including health, and voluntary sector.
- Publicise the CPS DV initiatives in media, open days etc.
