Announcement in the David Haynes murder trial

The Crown Prosecution Service, today, announced that there would be no re-trial in relation to the two men on whom the jury failed to agree a verdict.

Sandeep Phull and Nimesh Patel will not face a re-trial for Murder.

Their co-accused Shilesh Patel was unanimously found guilty and sentenced to Life, minimum 18 years, for the murder of David Haynes. Mr Haynes had been celebrating his 21st Birthday in Wellingborough when he was murdered.

The family of David Haynes were consulted throughout the decision-making process.
