Vision and aims
The vision of the CPS is to be a prosecution service that is confident and independent, efficient and effective - becoming truly world class. Everything we do aims to deliver justice for all and to make our communities safer.
This means holding to our values of fairness, impartiality and integrity whilst seeking to:
- Drive change and delivery in the Criminal Justice System;
- Strengthen the prosecution process to bring offenders to justice;
- Be the champion for justice and rights of victims and witnesses;
- Inspire the confidence of the communities we serve;
- Utilise the skills and commitment of all our people.
Our aim is to achieve justice for the people of Northamptonshire by:
- Reducing crime and the fear of crime;
- Taking the community's fight against crime to the courts;
- Bringing more offences to justice; and
- Working with our partners to raise public confidence in the Criminal Justice System.
