Extradition of Mohammed Saleh Ali from Iraq

Mohammed Saleh Ali has today been extradited to the UK.
A Crown Prosecution Service spokesperson said: "Mohammed Saleh Ali has today, Monday 29 June, been extradited to the UK. The Crown Prosecution Service requested the extradition in accordance with the UK-Iraq treaty of 1933. The extradition was ordered by the Iraqi authorities. Upon his arrival in the UK Mr Ali will be charged with offences of murder, conspiracy to murder, threats to kill Banaz Mahmod, threats to kill Rahmat Sulemani and perverting the course of justice. He is expected to appear at Greenwich Magistrates Court tomorrow."
