Three men sentenced for the murder of David Headlam

Idris Daud, Ayman Koshin and T'shai Ennis were sentenced to life imprisonment at the Central Criminal Court today for the murder of 18-year-old David Headlam. The men were also sentenced for an offence of wounding with intent against another male.

Chief Crown Prosecutor for CPS London, Baljit Ubhey said: "David Headlam and his friend had been walking home when they were attacked by these three gang members in North West London on 29 June last year.

"Armed with knives the defendants attacked the pair with such force that there could be no doubt that they intended to kill or to do really serious harm to their victims. David and his friend shared no links with gangs and were completely defenceless as they were stabbed in this unprovoked attack.

"They attempted to run from the men with David's friend escaping with one stab wound to his thigh. The men's attention then turned to David and he was chased down by the defendants before being cornered in a doorway where the men continued the fatal attack.

"I hope that these sentences can bring some small comfort to the family and friends of David Headlam, our thoughts are with them at this difficult time."
