Man convicted for dangerous dog attack on police officers
06/08/2012
Symieon Robinson-Pierre (22/11/1993) was convicted at Inner London Crown Court today of three counts of being the owner of a dog which caused injury while dangerously out of control in a public place. Robinson-Pierre’s dog attacked and injured three police officers in Albert Square, Newham on March 22nd, 2012.
Kris Venkatasami, head of CPS London's Special Casework Unit, said: "This was a horrifying episode in Central London with a dangerously out of control dog. Three police officers were seriously hurt while undertaking their duties and the potential danger to the wider public of having such an animal was plain to see.
"There is clearly strong public interest in prosecuting individuals who allow their dogs to injure others and CPS London will robustly prosecute these cases."
