Public disorder attack: CPS London statement on the sentencing today at Wood Green Crown Court of Beau Isagba.

09/03/2012

CPS London Deputy Chief Crown Prosecutor Jenny Hopkins said: "In August of last year many hundreds of people took part in disgraceful acts of disorder in London. The actions of Beau Isagba were among the most shocking.

"Ashraf Rossli was on his way to comfort a friend who was fearful of the violence unfolding in the capital when he was attacked by this individual. Isagba punched him, breaking his jaw, and then made off with his bike. Shortly afterwards Mr Rossli, vulnerable and badly hurt, was robbed (for which two others have been convicted).

"There is clearly no place in our society for these actions and this sentence is welcomed by the CPS."
