Our staff

As the largest of the 42 Crown Prosecution Service Areas, London employs nearly 1,400 staff.

Of these, 495 are lawyers - both barristers and solicitors - and include legal trainees. The remainder are administrative and support personnel, including caseworkers.

Our workforce is as diverse as the communities we serve, with almost a third (around 32 per cent) from a minority ethnic background.

Lawyers from minority ethnic backgrounds number 172, while minority ethnic admin staff total 280.

Sixty-six per cent of our staff (928) are women. Staff with a disability account for nearly 3 per cent (50 people).

More than 260 staff work part-time. CPS London also offers staff "family friendly" flexible working arrangements.
