We will need to have a CJSM address in order to email you the IDPC Bundle. If your request comes from a non-secure address, we will contact you for one. If you dont have a CJSM address, please visit www.cjsm.net to sign up for one.

How to get IDPC in London

Getting the Initial Details of the Prosecution's Case from the CPS in London is easy and quick, just follow the three steps below:

  1. write an email informing us you are representing a defendant
  2. send your email to London.IDPCRequests@cps.gsi.gov.uk
  3. check your mailbox for an IDPC Bundle.

You can also request IDPC for overnight cases by telephoning 020 3357 7000 (option 1) after 9.30am on the day of the hearing.

This email address is for the sole use of defence firms who are on the Criminal Justice System secure email system (CJSM).

What to include in the email

To help us properly process your request, please include in the following information in your email:

  • SUBJECT BOX - Unique Reference Number (URN), court centre and whether the defendant is on Bail or in Custody
  • BODY OF EMAIL - Defendant's name, date of birth and date of hearing.

It is important that you include the word Bail or Custody in the subject box of the email to allow us to prioritise requests relating to overnight cases.

When we will serve IDPC

For overnight cases, we will send you IDPC as soon as practicable after the file has been received from the Police on the day of hearing for overnights.

For bail cases, we will aim to send you IDPC no later than five working days prior to the hearing.
