Essex: CPS statement following acquittal of four men accused of manslaughter

The Crown Prosecution Service stands by its decision to prosecute four door men who have been acquitted of manslaughter, following the death of Reece Lamude.

Ryan Boyle, Ashley Hall, Gary Llewellyn and Paul Dudley were acquitted of all charges yesterday following a four week trial at Chelmsford Crown Court.

Chief Crown Prosecutor for the East of England Area of the CPS Grace Ononiwu said: "This was a very serious matter where someone tragically died as a result of this incident. We were satisfied there was sufficient evidence to prosecute and that it was in the public interest to do so.

"The jury have reached its decision after a full trial and we respect the decision of the court."
