Hate Crime Scrutiny Panel
In Dorset we are committed to changing the way in which we prosecute hate crimes to meet the needs of our community. As a result we are setting up a Hate Crime Scrutiny Panel to look at how we have handled hate crime cases which have gone through the Criminal Justice System, and improve the way in which we have done this.
The panel will look at domestic violence, homophobic, racist and religious, and disability aggravated cases. These cases will have been through the Criminal Justice System, some will be successful cases and some will be unsuccessful.
We are looking for people to join the panel that have experience of supporting or advising victims of hate crime. This is a great opportunity for you to assist us in changing the way in which we prosecute these types of cases.
