Work experience opportunities
We offer one-week work experience programmes for schools across Derbyshire throughout the academic school year. Our basic programme includes:
- Monday: attend Crown Court, an introduction to Crown Court procedures
- Tuesday: attend Crown Court , an introduction to Crown Court procedures
- Wednesday: reception, Area Secretariat and Witness Care Unit
- Thursday: introduction to trial preparation in the magistrates court, attend the magistrates court
- Friday: attend magistrates court, an introduction to magistrates court procedures
As demand for places is so high unfortunately we can't accommodate all requests, and therefore only offer a placement for one pupil from each school per year.
If you're still at school and would like to apply for a placement you will need to ask your teacher, careers adviser or work experience co-ordinator to write to us on your behalf. Students in further education can write to us direct.
