Career opportunities within the CPS
The majority of staff working within the CPS are either lawyers, caseworkers or administration personnel.
We actively encourage all our staff to undergo training and professional development. Training is provided by your local office or headquarters or through courses held externally. The wide range of courses for lawyers is accredited by the Law Society. In addition, staff may take advantage of programmes and courses run by the Civil Service Training College. As with other Government departments, the CPS is committed to the Investors in People programme.
We also offer a Legal Trainee Scheme. Opportunities for legal trainees, when available, are generally advertised in the legal, national and local press and on our website www.cps.gov.uk. For more information click here.
