Where we work

Our main office is based in St Peter's House in Derby, and is home to our Trials Unit and South Criminal Justice Unit, as well as two of the county's three Witness Care Units. Our North Criminal Justice Unit and third Witness Care Unit are based at Chesterfield Police Station.

Criminal Justice Units

We have two Criminal Justice Units (CJUs) in Derbyshire, one covering the north of the county and one covering the south. Our North CJU prosecutes cases at Chesterfield and Buxton magistrates' courts and our South CJU prosecutes cases at Derby and Ilkeston magistrates' courts.

Trials Unit

Our Trials Unit prosecutes cases at Derby Crown Court. The Unit deals with our most serious and highly publicised cases.

Area Secretariat

Our Area Secretariat is also based at St Peter's House and performs the business functions for the organisation.
