CPS Equality and Diversity Objectives 2011-14 consultation

We want to hear your views on our draft CPS Equality and Diversity Objectives 2011-14. These set out how we aim to challenge discrimination and promote equality.

What are the CPS Equality and Diversity Objectives 2011-14?

The CPS Equality and Diversity Objectives 2011-14 sets out how we aim to:

  • end unlawful discrimination because of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation
  • improve equality of opportunity between different groups
  • and foster good relations between different groups.

What is the CPS Equality and Diversity Objectives 2011-14 consultation about?

We want to make sure that our Equality and Diversity Objectives 2011-14 takes into account your needs and views.

We will consider your views when deciding what should go forward into the final document.

To help us, we would like you to consider the following questions:

  1. Are the objectives as set out in section 6 on page 13 onwards of this document the right ones?
  2. Are they clear and do they reflect what a fair prosecution service requires?
  3. Are the actions to achieve those objectives the right ones?
  4. Are the measures appropriate and relevant?
  5. Are there any further comments you wish to make?
