CPS Legal Trainee Scheme

Lucie Cummins

The CPS has launched its Legal Trainee Scheme (LTS) for 2016, offering pupillages or training contracts for those seeking to complete their legal training and qualify as fully practicing lawyers.

The recruitment process is now open to those prospective candidates who have already completed their vocational training or are due to complete it in the 2015/16 academic year, enabling them to commence pupillage or a training contract in November 2016. The process closes for applications at midnight on Thursday 12 May 2016.

Full details regarding the selection process and associated timetable can be found in the candidate guidance pack. For an insight into what the CPS LTS can lead to, please read the profile from one of our former Legal Trainees, Senior Crown Prosecutor Salma Yousef.
