CPS London handles around 130,000 magistrates' court cases and about 20,000 Crown Court cases a year.

That represents about 13 per cent of the total magistrates' court caseload for England and Wales and 17 per cent of the Crown Court caseload.

The courts served by our units include the capital's 35 magistrates' courts, 12 Crown Courts and the most famous court in the UK - the Central Criminal Court, or Old Bailey as it is more commonly known.
